Why is it that tropical cocktails – the sunniest drinks going around – always have a umbrella bobbing around in them? Perhaps it’s to save your beverage from an unexpected shower. Apparently, back in the 50s, Harry Yee at the Hilton Waikiki was among the first to garnish a beverage with this charming little addition.
